growing deliciousness

We created Homefire Sonoma because we knew our wines would bring warmth and connection. Our story begins in the vineyards of Dry Creek Valley.

Homefire Vineyard – This is the one we farm ourselves using organic-style methods. It’s a collection of Zinfandel vines from the St Peter’s Church clone - originally grown outside a Cloverdale church in the early 1900s.

Mia’s Secret – 1,200 feet above the valley. You’ll cross a couple streams and a washed out road to get there. But it’s worth it. You’ll love the Zin grown there - rich, mountain fruit and dark berry flavors unique to this site.

Winemaker/Viticulturist

“Homefire has been an independent artisan wine maker for 20-years. The flavors, aromas and mouthfeel are the result of long hours of work in the vineyard and the cellar. Our goal is to make authentic food-friendly wines.” - Michael Sterling, Winemaker/Grower
